New York Day 18

Today is a day about Singapore here in New York.

Its about a celebration of Singapore's birthday here in New York.

Its the National Day Reception here in New York.

Although National Day was long over by a few weeks, today, in New York, Uncle Mat's Mission here did a reception for Singapore.

It all started in the evening. Majority of the people present were Singaporeans, of course. Didnt see any familiar faces around except for one, whom i knew 5 years ago, in my army days, MAJ Edwin Goh, my CO.

Didn't expect to see him here, i believe he doesnt recognise me but he said i look familiar though.

Before the reception, not so filled up yet.

The food, ready to be eaten.

Cute cute baby!

Uncle Mat already started his beverages!

The ambassador giving the opening.

Pledge reciting, while i was busy snapping photos.

Followed by the national anthem.

There he is, my CO.

Start of makan time!

The end of the reception, with kids having balloons.

Rainy day in the morning so didnt head out. Went to help aunt with laundry again before preparing for the function. Exactly a week left before my departure from New York. Time flies.....
