New York Day 17

As planned, headed out early in the morning all the way to Queens Breezy Point for our Whale watching adventure.

Before the start of the adventure, was still asking myself whether will i be able to see my first whale of my life, as afterall, its nature. Its not the tour guides that planned the whale to come up anytime to show us its spectacular body, everything is about luck, and also, their experience. Its not a river, its not a sea, its the atlantic ocean. Even the humongous whale in the ocean is like a feather, so the chance of being able to see is absolutely tough. I've read the facebook page of this tour that alot of trips were wasted as they only see water, and nothing. So this really got my hopes down alot.

Although its a whale, one of the largest mammal to live in the current century, with the biggest being the Blue Whale, our adventure is all about Humpback Whale, a ted smaller then the Blue Whale, none the less, i believe it will be much more spectacular then that of a killer whale, which we will be able to catch in zoo.

However, before that, we took 2hours of transport down all the way to the jetty, from subway, to shuttle and to bus, just to catch the mammal. Is it worth? If i were to catch the mammal, of course it would be worth.

Continue reading on in order to find out the answer whether did i catch the whale live in the big big ocean.

So we set off in a ferry call American Princess at Riis Landing.

This is the ferry we will be on for the next 4 hours.

Setting off from the jetty. Right on time, awhile more and we will be late and miss the ferry!

From here, we set off into the ocean, out of the river.

People with personal boat relaxing out in the sea! Shiok max!

So after about an hour and a half of travel time, the engine of the ferry stops, and the guides told us to look outside for any suspicious water activity around us, which includes weird waves, water spouts etc.

It seems easy to spot any weird water activities by the look of the peaceful water, but i can tell you in real life, its not, because all the water were moving.

So we were all looking out for activities in the water and suddenly, the guide said "There, 1/4 mile ahead, a humpback whale", and he start the engine to move towards the whale. At first we saw nothing yet and all of a sudden........

Isnt it beautiful??? Cant believe that i actually get to see a whale live! wooot! =D a friendly humpback whale! lovely!

Headed back after about an hour and a half of whale watching and we tried out this famous milkshake mobile store. Food was great and no wonder the queue there!

If you were to ask me is it worth the time and money for the whale adventure, i would say definitely! Especially when you get to see it live infront of you! IF you get the chance to be able to go whale watching, don't hesitate, go for it, once you see the whale, you will forget about everything and just wow! =)

Before i end this entrie, i would like to wish me and my gal a Happy 53rd Monthsary. Am not able to celebrate together with her physically, but mentally, we know we are together =)
