Day 10! A whole 10 days at New York! Enjoying every bits here! Especially the weather and life here! temperature was 18d this morning and was kind of windy!
Today, we went to visit the 911 Memorial. The place was awesome. All i can say is when everyone reached the memorial area, there will be a kind of mood there. Couldnt believe that i was directly on the site where the 911 disaster happened. Imagining that day where 2 planes crashed into the 2 towers, its really kinda scary. 3000 innocent lives were taking in a day, including those not in the tower, where firemen and policemen went up to assist and help the evacuation. Respect.
On the bright side, we saw the new WTC under construction and the design was awesome. Full glass design tower and was really classy. The new WTC Tower 7 was already up and running! =)
After the memorial, went for our lunch at Panini & Co. Breads. Its something like wrap and with the ingredients of subway. Not a bad meal there, and i like the soup, Spicy Crab, but towards the end, it was quite salty, as usual.
Went to walk around Wall Street after dining, walk through and all the way to South Ferry Port and to Brooklyn Bridge, then to Pier 17, then took M15 back to apartment! A more filling day then the day before!
Here goes the photos!
Took subway to head over to 911 memorial. This is inside of the Grand Central Station.
NYC Subway. not the subway we always eat but the actual subway.

On our way to the 911 memorial.
The main entrance of the memorial.
We saved $2 USD per person for not getting the pass online due to the tax. so we went directly there for first come first serve basis tickets.

Headed over to the North Pool, that resembles the old WTC North Tower.
Similar to South Pool, names being remembered. Were encouraged to touch the names but not to scratch.
Really close shot of the new WTC tower.
Loved ones coming to remember their loved ones. This view really pains me.
Initially didnt know why will there be heavy windspray, after that than we realise that gushes of wind will enter the pool and will make every one around wet.
Dexter looking over at the North Pool. Wind coming in though as you can see by the water patterns.
If you look carefully at the photos, theres 2 brown bronze pillars at the middle left of the photo. Thats the original trident of the old WTC North Tower. Thats really very saddening to see =(
The "Survivor Tree" that survive the 911 incident in that area, the only 1!
Well protected and growing strong now!
